Dreams and Reflections Psychotherapy

My Therapy
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamics, meaning mind in motion, is a therapy that believes in the movement within our unconscious that affects our conscious thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a talk therapy based on the idea that people are affected and motivated by thoughts and feelings that are out of their awareness. Its goals are to help you to change habitual ways of thinking and behaving by helping you learn more about how your minds work, and/or directly supporting your functioning. Through conversation and reflection, we slowly discover unconscious thoughts and feelings that lead to your unhappiness and dissatisfaction in life. By becoming aware of your own unconscious thoughts and feelings, you can identify what works and what doesn't for you and what we can do to shift or build healthier habits and perspectives to live the life you want.

Dreamwork and Dream Therapy
Dreams can be a rich source of meaning and insight, and can be helpful by deepening and accelerating the process of therapy.

There are many who say "I don't remember what I dreamt" or "my dreams don't make any sense" but are surprised what content can be gleamed by bringing them into session. It is an informative, creative, and therapeutic experience that I strongly encourage in my practice.

In dreamwork, YOU are the expert of your own dreams, and I am simply your guide and companion as we navigate your dream and find what insights and meaning we can uncover together.
